So many women are focused on what they would like to change about themselves because we have been taught that we are not good enough. Think about the first thing you do when you see your reflection in a mirror. Most of us try to adjust something…fix our hair, adjust our clothes, touch-up our makeup, or something else that we think is ‘out of place’. Ladies, I am not saying in any way that we should stop caring about our appearance. Matter of fact, one of the confidence boosting strategies (and a workshop) that I offer to women focuses on our appearance and standing out from the crowd with our own unique style. The point I am making has to do with how we feel about ourselves. I encourage women to look at the mirror and smile back at their reflection. When you smile, you are sending signals to your subconscious that you are good and accepted. You are OK! Then when you adjust your hair, makeup, clothes, etc. you are doing so with self-love and acceptance rather a critical or negative outlook.
When you learn self-acceptance you can step into the spotlight and take center stage. You have a leading role in your life, you are not one of the supporting cast, because this is your life, your story, your journey!
Today, embrace the person you are, inside and out. Each situation you are faced with allows you to give your best self and that is enough for you. Be proud of you!
